16. "CAN YOU FLY THERE?" – DEMYSTIFYING DRONE REGULATIONS (AND WHY IT MATTERS)

It's a question we get all the time. The answer isn't just "yes" or "no"—it's "yes, if you're a licensed professional."

You can't just buy a drone and start filming commercially. Every commercial drone pilot must be FAA Part 107 Certified. This certification proves the pilot understands complex rules about airspace, weather, and safety.

  • Controlled Airspace: Want a shot of a downtown building? That's likely in controlled airspace near an airport. A certified pilot knows how to use the LAANC system to get near-instant, legal authorization to fly there.
  • Safety & Insurance: A certified pilot is trained to handle emergencies and, just as importantly, is insured. Hiring an uncertified "hobbyist" for a commercial job is a huge liability for you and your business.

When you hire SkyScape Studios, you're not just hiring a photographer; you're hiring a licensed and insured aviation professional.
